ones before… all of them cringeworthy on multiple levels.īut I also get lots of ads for cars, car insurance, health insurance, restaurants, grocery stores, shoes, purses, feminine menstrual products (?) Okay yeah I’ve gotten the stupid Toonblast / Hero Wars / Gardenscapes etc. Toonblast - Yes, “that” Toonblast, some random name testimonials about how they can’t stop playing the game because it was so addictive, had a playable demo that was too basic, then eventually had one where 3 friends were tied up and waiting for you to solve the puzzle to “save” them. If you see this game’s ad on Facebook, you can see from the comments / reactions that the real game lay is nothing like this. Hero Wars (Men’s Choice Entertainment) - The dude of the story gets into different puzzle scenarios to try to get the treasure, only to have the demo user picking something to have lava flow into him, some female character gets electrocuted, pin-cushioned, etc. Then eventually you see him trying to get a date, and much later, until recently, you got to him walking across the frozen tundra with his date, and nothing you do to “save” them will prevent his fate of becoming Jack to his date being Rose. Gardenscapes - When the advertisement first came up, you see the dude trying to fix up the old house by choosing the carpeting, tables, and wallpaper, etc. Three games comes to mind that is doing this. There are quite a bit of MV contents that had nothing to do with the actual game, you are presented with made up footages to make you think that you’d playing the game. There is also a Final Fantasy one, except you can lose in that one. I think that lone tower is enough to defend the base. If you actually don’t make any moves, the demo will actually put in a tower to get things rolling to encourage you. World War Defense one, I get maybe 8 out of 10 times nowadays.
